Whitless Tours Website

Outline

It is a well-known fact that people these days’ spend a lot of time on their mobile devices, so I am proposing to develop an App that will enable creative writing produced by students at the University of Waikato accessed and read on these devices. I feel this App has the potential to provide a portal to a wide audience of readers and potential publishers. When a person runs the App on their mobile device a piece creative writing will be randomly downloaded to the device to be read. Included in the downloaded will be a link to the host website to encourage the reader to visit the site and explore other readings. The host website will have a subscription service to ‘market’ the site by sending a piece of creative writing to the subscribers device once a week or month, in fact by installing the App a user could be automatically subscribed to this service. The App can easily be promoted by displaying a QR code on a poster, newsletter, website or other means of marketing that would enable mobile users to connect to the website to install the App and enable readers to access this wonderful source of creative writing.

QR Code that when scanned will take you to this page

The way a QR code as above works is that once the QR App is installed on mobile device it enables this code to be scanned by the camera facility on the device which will direct the devices web browser to a specific web page. In the case of Creative Writing Publishing App the page will provide information on this resource and offer to install the App on the user’s device. Once the App is installed the user can then download a piece of creative writing anytime they wish.
